Temasek Polytechnic Honours Outstanding Graduates For All-Rounded Excellence

A Computer Engineering student who developed a telehealth device that can monitor patients’ health in real-time and a Law & Management student who assisted people with their legal concerns while managing a physical disability. These are some of Temasek Polytechnic (TP)’s top graduates this year that have gone beyond achieving academic success and overcame personal challenges to create positive change in diverse ways. 

Eleven such exceptional graduates were honoured at the annual Polytechnic Level Awards on 23 April 2024, which is held ahead of TP’s Graduation Ceremony. These graduates have demonstrated excellence in academic performance and exemplified TP's Culture of Care through their exemplary resilience, service and commitment to both their co-curricular activities (CCAs) and the broader community.

 

As a testament to their achievements, these graduates received the following prestigious awards: Lee Kuan Yew Award, the Lee Kong Chian Award, the Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal Award, the CapitaLand All-Round Excellence Award and the Ngee Ann Kongsi Most Outstanding Overcomer Award.

  • Lee Kuan Yew Award

The Award commends and recognises our top technology or computer science graduates.

 

  • Lee Kong Chian Award

The Award commends and recognises our top non-Science and Technology graduates.

 

  • Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal

The Medal is awarded to outstanding students, who graduated from the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) prior to their studies at the polytechnic.

 

  • CapitaLand Award for All-Round Excellence

The Award gives commendation and recognition to graduates who excel in their studies and has outstanding contributions in their co-curricular activities.

 

  • The Ngee Ann Kongsi Most Outstanding Overcomer Award

The Award commends students with good academic achievements that has also demonstrated strong perseverance in overcoming challenges.
