» About Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) @ TP

From 2012, Secondary 4 Normal Academic students who perform very well in the Singapore-Cambridge GCE N(A) Level Examinations can opt for a one-year Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) at TP, instead of taking their GCE O Level Examinations in Secondary 5. The first intake is in April 2013.

The Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) is a one-year programme for top N(A) students which offers a practice-oriented curriculum taught by our polytechnic lecturers, to better prepare polytechnic-bound N(A) students for entry into one of the relevant polytechnic diploma courses.



Temasek Polytechnic Foundation Programme offers students their choice diplomas in one of our six academic schools:

• School of Applied Science
• School of Business
• School of Design
• School of Engineering
• School of Humanities & Social Sciences
• School of Informatics & IT

Assessments may take the form of coursework assignments, projects and end-of- semester examinations. Students who pass all subjects in the PFP will be deemed to have successfully completed the Foundation Programme and be admitted into the first year of their pre-selected diploma courses.
