Welcome Parents Session 2013
Our first parents' meeting session was held on 27 April 2013. Parents were welcomed by the Centre Director, Assistant Directors, Management team and Care Persons in the lecture theatres. This meeting with parents was to provide information regarding the school's academic programmes as well as to forge a positive partnership between staff and parents. Through this meeting, we hope to get parents' home involvement with their children's learning and how to help and support their children. Parents also had the chance to meet the Care Persons of their child in our new learning spaces to find out more about PFP. They were also invited for refreshments at the canteen.

PFP Orientation 2013
Our pioneer batch of PFP students finally arrived at TP for their 2-day orientation from 18th – 19th April 2013! The first day was eventful as they were greeted by their Care Persons of each class with ice-breaker games, assisted by the PFP ambassadors and school mentors. PFP students had the opportunities to get to know the campus, meet other new PFP students, talk to faculty and staff, and discover the facilities and services available in TP. A welcome message by the Centre Director of CFS and the Management Committee was also held at the auditorium. All TP students and staff then took a short walk to the Bedok Reservoir where the Regatta Competition was held. Our team of PFP students took part in the competition and finished with a bronze metal. It was indeed a good headstart of the school year. Well done and congratulation to our PFP winners!

Sharing Sessions on PFP Curriculum Planning
A series of engagement sessions have been organized for Subject Leaders and Lecturers supporting the PFP Programme.
On 18th February 2013, Subject Leaders of Domain Cluster subjects came together to share best practices in curriculum planning, lesson delivery and monitoring mechanisms. They were also taken on a tour of the newly furnished and equipped learning spaces. An engaging session on how to use the equipment in the learning spaces concluded the session.
On 19 February 2013, the English Language teaching team met in the first of 3 engagement sessions to familiarise themselves with the print and online course material.

Making Connections: PFP Ambassadors Return to their Alma Mater, St. Patrick’s School
On 14 Sep 2012, two of our PFP ambassadors, Daryl Lim and Lionel Tan returned to their alma mater, St. Patrick’s School, to share about their exciting school lives at TP with the Secondary 4N(A) cohort. It was a proud moment for Daryl and Lionel, in representing TP, as well as making connections with their juniors. The PFP Ambassadors also took the opportunity to thank their former secondary school teachers for their patience and guidance. They ended on a note of encouragement to their juniors to strive to do well in their GCE N-Level Examinations and realise their dreams in enrolling into their choice diploma courses at TP. It was indeed a rewarding session for the students!
Our visit to Junyuan Secondary School
On 22nd Aug 2012, staff from the Centre for Foundation Studies and TP Schools visited Junyuan Secondary School, to gain a better awareness of the curriculum and experience of students, in particular the profile of the Secondary 4N(A) students. TP staff were hosted by the Principal, Vice-Principals, Heads of Departments, and staff with special arrangements of discussions, in-class observations and sharing with Sec 4 N(A) students. It was definitely another great experience for all of us!
Our visit to St. Patrick's School
On 1st Aug 2012, a group of TP staff from the Centre for Foundation Studies and TP Schools visited St. Patrick’s School, to gain a better awareness of the curriculum and experience of students, in particular the profile of our future PFP students. TP staff were hosted by the Principal, Vice-Principal, Heads of Departments, and staff with special arrangements of discussions, in-class observations and sharing with Sec 4 N(A) students. It was definitely a fruitful visit.

PFP Seminar 2012
Over 1800 Secondary 4 Normal Academic students, teachers and parents attended the Polytechnic Foundation Programme Seminar on 18 July 2012. The PFP Seminar was jointly organised by MOE and the five polytechnics including Temasek Polytechnic. Enjoy some shots of the event.

Our visit to Springfield Secondary School
On 4th July 2012, a group of TP staff from the Centre for Foundation Studies and TP Schools visited Springfield Secondary School, to gain a better awareness of the curriculum and experience of students, in particular the profile of our future PFP students. TP staff were hosted by the Principal, Vice-Principal, Heads of Departments, and staff with special arrangements of discussions and sharing with Sec 4 N(A) students. It was indeed an insightful visit.
