IN 2003, then 50-year old retired army Major, Mr Lai Lee Kwang, topped his Certificate in Security and Fire Safety Management course at TP and clinched the CISCO Prize. This year, he repeated his feat in topping the pioneer class of the Diploma in Security and Fire Safety Management, again receiving the CISCO Prize. One of the oldest students in his class, Lai started planning for his second career while still in active service two years ago. “I can’t prevent the aging process but I can re-skill myself to remain employable,” said Mr Lai.

On 23 July, 477 graduands from 16 part-time courses received their TP certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas and specialist diplomas in the areas of Security and Fire Safety Management, Management and Police Studies, Police Studies & Security Management, Para-Legal Studies, Police Studies, Semiconductor Technology and Accounting & Finance.
