'Cool' training at
KoolWerkz

The
frozen dessert produced at Koolwerkz contain minimum
calories, are low in fat and have no added sugar,
making them ideal for the weight and health conscious.

TEMASEK Applied Science School has come up with three
fl avours of healthy frozen desserts,
namely green tea, mango and strawberry. However, what
is special about these desserts is that they are made
at TP’s own training factory, KoolWerkz.
The factory is the result of a three-way partnership
between Temasek Applied Science School,
Temasek Business School and TP’s Entrepreneurship
Centre. Acting as a training-cum-incubation centre,
it aims to create an entrepreneurial mindset amongst
students and stretch their abilities through undertaking
responsibilities that they would never have otherwise
had in a laboratory or classroom setting.
Fully-equipped as an ice-cream making plant, KoolWerkz
caters to the manufacturing and marketing of frozen
desserts. TP is the fi rst polytechnic to acquire a
Food Establishment License from the Agri-Food and Veterinary
Authority of Singapore to manufacture frozen desserts.
