TP designers at Singapore Design Festival

Through "Design Street", TP students invited the public to review and respond to selected works such as character designs, video promotions, story boards and tee-shirt designs.

TEMASEK Design School (DES) participated in the annual Singapore Design Festival, which was held from Nov 9 to 23, 2005. In all, 90 students showcased
their design capability through two platforms – Design Gallery and Design Street.

The Design Gallery, aimed at highlighting the importance of design in Singapore’s knowledge-driven economy, featured the students’ works. Design Street was the more interactive platform, with members of the public invited to participate in design activities by reviewing and responding to selected student works.

The experience turned out to be a valuable one. As noted by Mr Ernest Paul, Manager, Projects, from DES: “Most public feedback was complimentary but some exposed our students to the harsh
realities of trying to create a meaningful impact on real world users.”
