Multi-talented Marion wins national youth award

SPORTS. Dance. Music. Photography. Marion Poon has done it all and excelled in them too.

For all that, the final-year Marketing student was presented with the National Youth Achievement Award (Gold) in 2008. Marion’s win comes as little surprise as she is truly multi-talented with skills in fields ranging from touch rugby and bowling to musical instruments, tap dance and photography.

Marion pursues all these interests with a passion. Believing that she has to maximise her potential while she is still young, she shares that one of her greatest achievements is reaching the summit of Mount Kinabalu in Malaysia.

For the future, Marion hopes to initiate projects to benefit the community and dreams of experiencing snow climbing and competitive mountain biking. For now though, this adventurous spirit plans to continue her studies before she embarks on her long term ambition to be a fire-fighter or “something that will help save lives”.
