10-medal haul for TP robotics team

Jubilant Engineering students celebrating their achievement at Singapore Robotic Games 2009.

TEMASEK Engineering School took home three gold, five silver and two bronze medals at the annual Singapore Robotic Games competition held at the Singapore Science Centre in January.

Of particular significance was the re-capturing of the Gold medal in the Autonomous Sumo Robot category – traditionally the School’s forte over the years. The team also outwitted its opponents in the new “Humanoid” category, in which the robot is built to resemble a human being.

The accomplishment comes on the heels of the recent inspiring performance at the National TechX Challenge, an autonomous robotic competition in which TP emerged second, highlighting the advanced level of robotics competency in TP.
