Kenneth Quah Boon Chuan is a project manager whose job entails travelling around the world to attend sports events such as the Olympics and the World Cup soccer tournament. For the hordes of sports fans around the world, this surely is a job sent from heaven.

The 29-year-old self-confessed sports enthusiast who topped his graduating Electronics class at TP in 1998, currently works for TSE Consulting Inc., a sports
management firm based in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Kenneth landed this job after getting a Masters in Sports Management in 2006, under the prestigious FIFA Masters scholarship — the only Singaporean to have clinched it. The one-year course took him to prestigious universities in the UK, Italy and Switzerland to study social, ethical, legal and business issues faced by sports organisations. It also got him involved with World Cup 2006 and the 2006/2007 UEFA Champions League football tournament.

The adventurous goal-getter, who also holds a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia, said: “Working directly with clients in Europe offers unparalleled exposure and the opportunity to learn from the very best operating within the industry.”

Next year, Kenneth will be working with clients to manage major sports events such as the Euro 2008 football tournament, and the Beijing Olympics.

The road ahead will undoubtedly be even more exciting for Kenneth.
