New psychology studies, interactive media courses from 2008

Interactive Media Technology will enable students to tap into the growing market for interactive digital media as more companies use visually-rich 3D applications to market their products.

Always in step with imminent manpower requirements, TP is introducing two new full-time courses in April 2008 — Psychology Studies and Interactive Media Technology.

The Psychology Studies curriculum offers a unique blend of studies in psychology and human capital management. The course is for those who want to be in the business of understanding what motivates people and steer them towards peak performance in the workplace.

"I am happy to note that the [Psychology Studies course] ... will certainly help to address the industry's demand for skilled para-professionals in areas such as human resource and development."
Mdm Ho Geok Choo
President of the Singapore Human Resources Institute and Co-chair of the Human Resource Manpower Skills and Training Council.

The Interactive Media Technology course will equip students with the skills to create and use 3D applications and to harness technology to create engaging interactive visual simulations. It is in line with Singapore’s Media 21 plan which aims to transform the country into a Global Media City that develops and trains professionals in interactive product content management solutions.

With these new courses, TP now offers a total of 45 full-time courses covering the fields of applied science, business, design, engineering, informatics & IT and humanities and social sciences.
