‘Possibilities’ aplenty at Temasek Design Show

Designing for the betterment of society — many of the projects showed the students’ awareness of social concerns.

More than 300 students from Temasek Design School showcased their final-year projects at this year’s Design Graduate Show. The theme was “Possibilities” and all the projects on display reflected the multitude of possibilities these young graduates promise. The works were a culmination of their three years in the school and the effort that they had put in to honing their skills was evident.

This year, a keen interest to solve social concerns appeared to be a strong inspiration for many of the works. Highlights of the Show included eye-catching visuals and collaterals to get more people to volunteer manning the 24-hour SOS helpline; an integrated automatic external defibrillator and CPR machine that brings together two important resuscitating procedures; and a mop wringer that is easy on the back as it is activated by a foot lever.
