Participants
of MeetingYoungMinds@BIT were given tokens to
vote for the best project booth. Mr Seah Liang
Chiang, Managing Director of Digital Scanning
Corporation voted for the project, Chinese
First Aid For Kids, that eventually won
the most votes.

A highlight of the day was when Lau Jiarong, a Senior
Year BIT student, shared his experiences as a participant
in the Startup@BIT programme - a scheme that allows
students to start and run their own business during
their internship period. While his course mates opted
for the more conventional industry attachments, Jiarong,
together with three other classmates, registered a company
to provide IT services and solutions to other companies.
Going even further, he started two other companies -
an online radio station and a company which provides
IDD and other phone services, including call back, and
call forward services to customers.
