Konichiwa Singapore!

The exchange programme offered the Japanese visitors to TP an opportunity to closely interact with Singapore students.

TWENTY-FOUR students and three staff from the Kumamoto National College of Technology in Japan visited TP under an educational and cultural exchange programme from 17 to 20 October.

Led by TP students from the Diploma in Electronics, the Japanese visitors took part in social activities and spent a day sightseeing at Sentosa. They also visited and found out more about the R&D work at the various Engineering Competency Units in TP, attended a talk by Mr Louis Lui, Vice President for Asia Pacific, Omron Singapore Pte Ltd, and toured the factories of Mitsubishi Electric, Nemic-Lambda and Southern LION Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru.

Professor Tsutomu Matsumoto, who accompanied the Japanese students, said: “This visit offered our students an excellent opportunity to use and improve their English, which is vital if they want to work overseas in future.”
