Further education opportunities in travel and tourism

A handshake between Dr Walter Jamieson, dean of School of Travel Industry Management, University of Hawaii, and Mr Yeo Li Pheow, director of Temasek Business School, affirms the collaboration between the two institutions.

TP and the University of Hawaii’s School of Travel Industry Management, University of Hawaii signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 28 September to promote collaboration in the areas of travel and tourism education.

The collaboration will see the two institutions promoting professional development of staff through exchanges, sharing industry practices and experience and working together on industry-related applied research projects.

The two institutions are also exploring possibilities of jointly offering travel and tourism related continuing education programmes. Mr Yeo Li Pheow, Director of Temasek Business School said: “TP’s collaboration with the university will provide new further education opportunities for TP graduates and industry practitioners who want to upgrade themselves, especially those from the tourism and resort industries.”
