Inspirational lecturer honoured

Business Communication lecturer, Mrs Chng-Lee Siew Li, was recently honoured at Nanyang Technological University’s (NTU) convocation ceremony and presented with a Certificate of Honour for being an inspiration to TP alumnus Zhang Fang Fang, winner of the university’s Scholars Award.
Mrs Chng shares that being an educator is her true calling. “I have enjoyed being a lecturer all this while and haven’t thought about being anything else.” She is continuously motivated by “seeing students grow up into respectable adults, and seeing them achieve what they never thought they could.”
Little wonder then that she has touched many hearts in her 18 years of teaching, including Fang Fang who credits her former TP lecturer for her superb academic achievement.
In addition, the petite and affable Mrs Chng was overwhelmed when she realised that NTU had established a $5,000 grant in her name to be awarded to a future NTU-TP student. |
