From EM3 to university

A poster boy for hard work and perseverance — Goh Jian Hui, with Mr Boo Kheng Hua, TP's principal & CEO, at the graduation ceremony.

GOH Jian Hui’s route to university is an uncommon one. From being in an EM3 class in primary school, he worked hard to make it to the ITE and then Temasek Polytechnic. Today, he is serving NS, having secured a place to study Computer
Engineering at Nanyang Technological University.

Jian Hui’s determination to succeed and perseverance
has in fact led him to become one of the top award winners at TP’s graduation ceremonies held from June 6 to 9. For his excellent 22 distinctions, 6 A’s and 5 B’s achieved during his three years at TP, he received the Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal. This award is given annually to an outstanding graduate from each of the polytechnics who had come from the ITE.

Altogether, 3,832 students were awarded diplomas from TP over the four days of ceremonies. They graduated from 33 courses in the areas of applied science, business, design, engineering and information technology.
