Step into Bistro Walk and you enter a world of cosy cream and resplendent red that make up a large part of the no-frills-yet-hip décor. Equally cool is its menu that ranges from delicious hot food dishes to delightful munchies, all whipped up by Applied Food Science & Nutrition and Baking & Culinary Science students under the supervision of their lecturers. With great eats at student prices, it’s small wonder that the training café is fast becoming the fave hangout of TP students since its opening in April.

The Bestseller Served warm with chocolate sauce, the Belgian waffle is light, crisp and simply delectable. Top it with a single scoop of ice-cream made in-house at TP’s Koolwerkz ice cream plant and you have a lip-smacking dessert that’s an all-time favourite.	Value-For-Money Set & More Usually sold out by 1pm, the three-course set meal comes with a soup, main course and a dessert. For less than $8 it is a steal, as the main course alone is a tasty, balanced meal complete with proteins, carbs and fibre and the menu changes regularly.	Munch and Sip If you’re in the mood for snacks with reduced calories, look out for items with the “Healthier Choice” sign such as the focaccia bread chicken sandwich or honeycomb ice-cream. To unwind in between lessons, just order a refreshing Italian soda and surf on your Mac with the free Wi-Fi access or simply sit back and relax while enjoying the soothing music with your good friends. t’s
