The Learning Academy (LA) is testimony to Temasek Polytechnic’s (TP) commitment to staff capability development. The Academy develops and conducts professional development programmes for TP staff in areas such as learning-teaching, e-learning, leadership and innovation. It also provides opportunities for continuing professional development through learning events ranging from small team discussions to international conferences. For example, at the annual LA Fest internationally renowned academics are invited to deliver keynote addresses.
In addition, the Academy provides leadership in educational projects in areas such as digital technologies, Problem-based Learning, assessment and plagiarism. It conducts research in areas related to learning and teaching, and encourages and supports TP lecturers to also engage in research.
