The Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) coordinated by the Ministry of Education (MOE) is for GCE O Level holders.
Who May Apply?
| Singaporeans (SC)/ Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) | Foreign Students | - GCE O Level results
- Current JC student or Singapore Cambridge A Level students seeking admission based on GCE O Level results
| - From a government, government-aided or independent school (excluding private schools) with 2011 GCE O Level results

Note: All students successfully admitted to a school through Direct School Admission-JC (DSA-JC/ Direct Poly Admission (DPA) Exercise will not be able to participate in JAE. They will be informed of the school they have been admitted to under the DSA-JC/ DPA together with the release of the GCE O Level Examination results.
When To Apply?
The 2012 JAE registration will commence on 9 January 2012 3pm to 13 January 2012 4pm.

JAE Appeal @ TP
Computers with internet access will be made available at TP Auditorium Foyer to allow applicants without internet access at home to view their posting results. Applicants who wish to submit an appeal for a course in a polytechnic may submit their JAE Appeal at the Polytechnic Joint Portal.
Our JAE Appeal Online Registration Centre located at the Auditorium Foyer will be open :
- 9.00 am to 5.00 pm (Day 1 and 2)
- 9.00 am to 4.00 pm (Last day)

| Selection based on: | - Academic results of applicants
- Applicants are posted to courses based first on the applicants' merit and second, in the order of the applicants' choice of courses.
- Applicants are ranked in the order of their net aggregates based on English Language, 2 relevant subjects and best 2 other subjects (ELR2B2).
- Applicants with better aggregates will be considered for admission first. Each applicant is then considered for his/her choice of courses in the order of preference indicated, subject to available vacancies in the course.
| | Posting results release: | Results of application will be released about two weeks after the JAE registration period. Applicants may check their application status through the following modes: - JAE-IS, accessible through the MOE - JAE web page
- Short Messaging System (SMS) via applicant's mobile number (if provided by applicants during the JAE)
| | JAE Appeal Exercise: | Applicants who have participated in the JAE Exercise are eligible to submit an appeal after the results are out.
