The Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE) is organised by the five Polytechnics: Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP), Republic Polytechnic (RP), Singapore Polytechnic (SP) and Temasek Polytechnic (TP). It was introduced in 1992. In this exercise, applicants are to indicate in the application form their preference for the courses for which they wish to be considered. Applicants are required to submit only ONE application, which will be considered jointly by the Polytechnics concerned.
Who May Apply?
- Holders of relevant Higher NITEC/CBS/ITC and NITEC/NTC-2 (taken in Singapore) who have sat for Singapore-Cambridge GCE N or O level examination
- Final semester graduating full-time ITE students
For the relevant certificates awarded by ITE that are recognised for admission to the full-time diploma courses:
Higher National ITE Certificate (Higher NITEC)/ITC/CBS Holders
National ITE Certificate (NITEC)/NTC2 Holders
Note: Those who have Higher NITEC or NITEC International qualifications (attained overseas), previously attended courses at or graduated from a local University or Polytechnic are NOT eligible to apply under the JPAE. If they do so, their applications will be invalidated.
