Joint Polytechnic Special Admissions Exercise

The Joint Polytechnic Special Admissions Exercise (JPSAE) considers students for admission based on a broader measure of merits beyond performance in the GCE O Level examination.

Who May Apply?

  • Singapore Citizens (SC) or Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) with 2011 GCE O Level results
  • Foreign students from a government, government-aided or independent school with 2011 GCE O Level results

Candidates should also possess one of the following:

  • Demonstrate strong passion or aptitude through work attachments
  • Sustained involvement in course-related projects
  • Outstanding performance in competitions like the Maths/ Science Olympiad
  • Outstanding talents/ achievements in leadership, community service, entrepreneurship, sports, artistic and creative areas

Note: Students who have been successfully admitted into a JC or Polytechnic through the Direct School Admission Exercise (DSA-JC Exercise) and Direct Polytechnic Admission (DPA) conducted in May - July 2011 are NOT eligible to apply.

When To Apply?

Application period coincides with the Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE). The JPSAE registration period will be held over a period of 5 calendar days starting from the release of the GCE O Level examination results. The exact registration dates will be announced in the media together with the announcement on the release of the GCE O Level Examination results.
