Q1. What are the courses offered by TP?

Q2. Which Admissions Exercise do I qualify for? When and how do I apply?

Please check for which Admissions Exercise you qualify for here. In general, the exercises will be open upon the release of the Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'O' level examination results.

Q4. Can I apply for admission while I am serving my NS in Singapore?

Yes, you may. The Polytechnic will reserve your place until you complete your NS.

Q5. I am an International Student. Where can I find out about application/admission-related information? Also, what do I need to know before applying to TP?

You may wish to review the information specially prepared for International Students.

Q6. How many intakes are there per year?

2 intakes, April & October.

Q7. Can I combine my results to apply for admission?

Applicants are allowed to combine their GCE 'O' level results of up to two sittings (eg 2001 and 2006) when seeking admission to the Polytechnic.

Q8. I failed my GCE 'O' level English. Can I still apply?

Student who failed their English by one grade but obtained distinctions in Mathematics and other relevant subjects may put in an application/appeal under the Direct Admission Exercise (DAE).

Applicants are strongly advised to register to re-sit their 'O'level English while waiting for the application/appeal outcome.

Q9. I failed my GCE 'O' level Maths. Can I apply or appeal?

At TP, we have selected courses (i.e Design & Communication & Media Management) which accept Grade D7 in Mathematics. You may wish to apply for these courses.

However, you are strongly advised to re-take your Maths in the next coming GCE 'O' level examinations while waiting for your application/appeal outcome.

Q10. What are my chances of getting into the course of my choice?

To gauge your chances of being selected into your choice course, your results should meet both the Course Minimum Entry Requirements and/or the cut-off-point (COP). As the current year's COP is not available at the point of application, you may refer to the previous year Course COP as a reference.
