Enrolment

The Enrolment Package contains important information to assist you in the completion of your enrolment. It also provides you with essential information on our Orientation Programme and other requirements to orientate you as a student of Temasek Polytechnic. Do take the time to read all the information provided.

Check that you have the following items in your package.

  • Enrolment Notice
  • Enrolment Data Form
  • Enrolment Guide with Envelope A enclosed
  • Financial Package with Envelope B enclosed

If there are missing forms, please collect them from the One-Stop Service Centre (OSC) in Temasek Polytechnic during office hours. If you are not able to come in person, you may authorise someone to collect on your behalf.

For National Service-liable personnel

For information on NS deferment/disruption, proceed to NS Portal or contact NS Call Centre at 1800-3676767.

If you have been called up for enlistment and are not eligible for deferment or are currently serving full-time National Service and are not eligible for disruption, simply proceed to complete “Section C” of Checklist A on the reverse side of Envelope A for reservation of course with supporting documents from Central Manpower Base (CMPB) or the respective Unit stating the ORD/Enlistment date.

System Requirements

To use the course acceptance system, your computer must have the following minimum system requirements and settings.

  • Operating system: Windows 2000/XP or higher
  • Best viewed in Internet Explorer 6.0 SP 2 and above; 1024 x 768 SVGA
  • Printing settings: A4-sized paper, portrait

To enrol, please log on to the Course Application Status Enquiry and Enrolment System to confirm acceptance of the course.

To assist you in your enrolment, we have prepared a 5-Steps Guide.

Step 1 - Complete Online Enrolment Registration Online

What you need:

  • NRIC/Passport Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Enrolment Key (refer to your Enrolment Notice)

1. Log on to the Course Application Status Enquiry and Enrolment System.
2. Accept the course.

3. Complete the following 2 sections in the online enrolment system:

  • Part 1. Student’s Self Declaration - Enrolment Registration Record
  • Part 2. Doctor’s Certification - Medical Form
4. Print out a copy of the Enrolment Registration Record & Medical Form.
5. You are now enrolled as a student. Log in again to check if your status is shown as ‘Enrolled’.

Step 2 - Undergo Medical Examination

1. Make an appointment with a clinic for your check-up. You can refer to this list of clinics (PDF:192KB) and their charges.

2. On the day of the appointment, bring along the Medical Form printout for the doctor to complete.

For international students, do bring along the ICA Medical Checkup Form downloaded from ICA website.

3.Collect the medical report and x-ray report from the clinic within 3-5 working days.
4. If you have been certified to be unfit due to the following medical conditions (PDF:198KB), approach our Admissions staff at One-Stop Service Centre (OSC) for advice.

Note:

  • If you do not wish to undergo the medical check-up with the listed clinics, you may have your check-up and x-ray done by any Singapore registered medical practitioner.
  • If your medical reports require more than 5 working days for collection, please inform us & mail in the report later. Do not hold back on the submission of the other documents.
  • If you have already submitted your medical & x-ray report to another polytechnic, you are not required to do another medical check-up. Indicate the polytechnic you have submitted to on Checklist A (A14) and we will follow-up with the respective polytechnic.
  • Costs incurred for your medical check-up will be fully borne by you.

Step 3 - Complete Financial Forms

Ensure that your forms are completed accurately as incomplete forms may delay the processing of your application(s) with the Financial Scheme Organisation(s). You are NOT allowed to use correction fluid on the application form.

Refer to the yellow coloured form for Application for Tuition Grant (Singapore Citizens), peach coloured form for Application for Interbank GIRO, blue coloured form for Application for Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy for Malays

1. Apply for Tuition Grant Subsidy (Compulsory).

2. Apply for Interbank GIRO (PDF:117KB) (Compulsory).

3. Apply for Financial Schemes (Optional) for payment of fees. You may apply for multiple financial schemes.

Step 4 - Check and Mail Documents

Check and mail the completed forms and supporting documents to Temasek Polytechnic.

1. Refer to Checklist A (PDF:30KB), which is at the reverse side of Envelope A.
2. Refer to Checklist B (PDF:68KB), which is within the financial package.
3. Put the completed forms with the relevant documents into Envelope A and Envelope B.
4. Put envelope B into Envelope A before mailing it out.

Step 5 - Apply for Student Pass (For International Students Only)

1. You are required to send an email to the International Students Office at email address “isohotline.tp.edu.sg” to request for a SOLAR number. Please refer to http://www.tp.edu.sg/studentpass.pdf for the information to be provided in the email.
2. You are then required to log on to the SOLAR system from the Immigration Checkpoints Authority (ICA) website (www.ica.gov.sg) – with the SOLAR Application Number and your personal particulars to submit the Student Pass (STP) application online to ICA for processing. A processing fee of $30 is required for every application submitted to ICA by credit/debit card or internet banking.
3. Once ICA approves your online application for STP, Temasek Polytechnic will send a scanned copy of the In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter to your email. You may use the printed scanned copy of the IPA letter to enter Singapore.
4. After you have arrived in Singapore, you are required to go to ICA Building personally for completion of formality. All completion of formality is strictly by e-appointment only (https://eappointment.ica.gov.sg/ibook/index.do).

5. Your STP will be ready for collection about 3 working days from the date of submission of all required documents. ICA will notify you of the date to collect the STP. A $60 issuance fee is payable for every STP issued and a further $30 multiple-entry visa fee for visa required nationals, where applicable.

You are required to print and acknowledge a copy of the Terms & Conditions of Issue for Long Term Pass (LTP) Card. Please log on to (http://www.ica.gov.sg/data/resources/docs/Visitor%20Services/Terms_&_Conditions_LTP.pdf) for a copy of the form.

6. Document is to be submitted to Admissions Office as part of the enrolment material is a photocopy of your original STP (issued for study in Temasek Polytechnic).

It is important as the FIN number (in your STP) is needed for the printing of your Tuition Grant Agreement and for application of the student travel concession (EZ-link) card.

Note:

For submission in person, drop the Envelope A and Envelope B into the respective drop-in boxes provided at the One-Stop Service Centre (OSC).
