Fees for Academic Year 2008/2009

For Academic Year 2008/2009, the Government is providing a subsidy of S$13,300. This Government subsidy is known as the Tuition Grant . For students who take up the Tuition Grant, the subsidised Tuition Fee payable by students for the 2 Academic Sessions is as follows:

a) S$2,100 for Singapore Citizens students
b) S$2,310 for Singapore Permanent Resident (SPRs) students
c) S$3,150 for International students

Tuition Fee is payable in every Academic Session and Other Fees are payable in Academic Session 1 of each Academic Year. New students admitted in Academic Session 2 will pay their Other Fees in that Session.

Tuition Grant (TG) Eligibility

Student who is admitted to MOE- subsidised Full-Time diploma courses in the Polytechnic  from AY2007, and who do not already hold a diploma or higher qualification will be eligible for TG subsidy for a maximum of 10 semesters or 5 years, which is the maximum course candidature period for diploma courses in the polytechnics and arts institutions.

The maximum of 10 semesters will include all those Tuition Grant which you have received at other institutions for diploma course(s) which you have studied before in AY2007 and after and did not graduate with a diploma qualification. (If you are a direct-entry student to 2nd-year of studies, the number of semesters that you are eligible for Tuition Grant will be for a maximum of 8 semesters).  For list of other institutions, please refer to the list of institutions stated on the Application for Tuition Grant or Tuition Grant Option form.

Singapore Permanent Residents and International students who opt for the Tuition Grant, except those already bonded by PSC, are required to work in Singapore for 3 years upon completion of their courses. In view of the high subsidy paid out of public funds for these students, this requirement ensures that they discharge some of their obligations to the Singapore public, as well as provide them with an opportunity to gain valuable working experience here.

Further details on Tution Grant, please refer to MOE's website: http://sam11.moe.gov.sg/tass/

Other Fees

Besides Tuition Fees, Other Fees are payable once every Academic Year by all Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents and International students. Orientation fee applies to new students only.

Group Personal Accident (GPA) Insurance

All Full-Time and Part-Time Subsidised students are covered by the Group Personal Accident (GPA) Policy. This scheme provides insurance coverage for accidents sustained by the students.
