Q1. Who are eligible to apply for Tuition Fee Loan?

Students pursing a full time diploma course are eligible for Tuition Fee Loan except for the following categories of full time students:

  1. You are a PSC scholarship /Bursary/ Loan Holders
  2. You are a SAF Scholarship/Local Training Award Holders
  3. You are receiving full Mendaki subsidy to pay for your tuition fee.

Q2. Where can I get the application form?

For new students - the application form is enclosed in the enrolment package.

For existing students - a copy of the application form can be obtained from the Finance & Administration Department, Finance counter, Administration Block, Block 9, West Wing, 7th floor before the closing date - 15 May of each year.

Q3. Must I be a DBS account holder to apply for Tuition Fee loan?

You need not have to open or maintain a DBS bank account to apply for Tuition Fee Loan.

Q4. What are the obligations as a guarantor?

The guarantor is responsible for settling the full outstanding loan and interest charges if the student defaults payment.

Q5. How much can I borrow?

The maximum loan quantum is capped at 75% of the tuition fee amount for each semester.

Q6. How do I apply for Tuition Fee Loan?

For New Student:

  1. Get the Tuition Fee Loan application form from the enrolment package or the Finance office.
  2. Complete the details of the application form.
  3. A Guarantor must be Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident and who is above 21 years of age or below 60 years old.
  4. With the Guarantor, the student submits his application and other required documents to any DBS Bank branches to get their Tuition Fee Loan endorsed.
  5. The bank will endorse the tuition fee loan application form and return the duplicate copy to the student.
  6. Enclose the duplicate copy of the bank endorsed tuition fee loan application with your mail-in enrolment froms for new students or before the due date of fee voucher for existing student.

For Existing students - get the Tuition Fee Loan application form from the Finance office before the closing date - 15 May of each year and repeat (2) to (6).

Q7. What is the minimum repayment sum for Tuition Fee Loan? When do I start repayment for Tuition Fee Loan?

Please refer to the terms and conditions stipulated in the Tuition Fee Loan application form.
