Q1. Where can I get the Mendaki application form? How can I apply for the Mendaki Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy Scheme if there is no Mendaki application form in my enrolment package?

For new students, the application form is enclosed in the enrolment package. If there is no application form in the enrolment package, please obtain a copy from the Finance & Administration Department, at the Administration Block, Block 9, West Wing, Lift Lobby D, level 7.

For existing students, please obtain the form from the Finance & Administration Department, Administration Block, Block 9, West Wing, Lift Lobby D, level 7.

The closing date for submission of the application is on 18 Apr for AY2008/2009.

Q2. Who are eligible to apply for this scheme?

Mendaki subsidy is only applicable to Malay Muslim. Students must have enjoyed free secondary or pre-university education and with a monthly family income not exceeding $3,000/-

Q3. How much is the subsidy?

For student whose monthly family income is S$2,000 or below - Full subsidy on Tuition Fee.

For student whose monthly family income fall within S$2,001 to S$3,000 - 70% subsidy on Tuition Fee.

For student whose monthly family income above S$3,000 - no subsidy on Tuition Fee.

Q4. Should I include my sibling's income as part of the family income if they are getting married and moving out of the house?

You can exclude married sibling and other relatives even if they are staying in the same address.

Q5. Can I take up Mendaki as well as other financial schemes to pay for my tuition fee?

Yes, you can do so. However, the actual funding from various schemes cannot exceed 100% of the tuition fee.

Q6. If I have applied for a Mendaki Loan, must I pay the fee payable when I submit my mail-in enrolment forms?

Yes you have to pay the fee payable when you submit your mail-in enrolment forms as the loan is between you and Mendaki.
