Q1. How can I purchase a copy of prospectus?

There are 3 ways to purchase a copy of the prospectus:

  • Send a letter addressed to the Corporate Communications Department, Temasek Polytechnic with a cheque made payable to "Temasek Polytechnic". For local mail, the price of prospectus is S$10 and for overseas mail, the price of prospectus is S$15. Kindly note that foreign cheques/drafts drawn on overseas banks are not acceptable.
  • Purchase the prospectus personally at Temasek Polytechnic, Student Services & Admission Department, One-Stop Service Centre. The center is located at Student Services & Admission Office, Administration Block, East Wing, 2nd floor from Lift Lobby C. The operating hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm for weekdays.
  • Purchase the prospectus personally at Temasek Polytechnic, Finance & Administration Department, Finance counter. The counter is located at Administration Block, West Wing, 7th floor from Lift Lobby D. The operating hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm for weekdays.

Q2. Can I use CPF to pay for the Part-Time Subsidised courses?

No, you cannot use CPF to pay for the Part-time Subsidised courses.

Q3. Can I apply for SDF to pay for the Part-time Subsidised courses?

No, you cannot use SDF to pay for the Part-Time Subsidised courses.

Q4. Can I pay my fees by instalments if I have financial difficulties?

If you have financial difficulties, you may make a request to the Registrar by submitting a letter together with the supporting documents to justify your request. Such application will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Q5. How much is the fee payable?

The fees payable for AY 2007/2008 are as follows:

  • Singaporean & Singapore Permanent Resident
    > Tuition fee - $1,000.00
    > Other fee - $49.00
  • International student
    > Tuition fee - $5,400.00
    > Other fee - $49.00

Q6. Do students need to pay first if the company is sponsoring their courses?

It will depend on the arrangement you have with the organization who sponsored your education.

Q7. How do I make enquiries on my fee status?

You can make enquiries on your fee payment status through TP website at the "Fee Payment Status Enquiry" section.

Q8. How do I obtain a copy of my past years' fee payment records?

You have to submit a written request to the Director, Finance & Administration Department for a certified true copy of the fee statement.

Q9. How do I apply for refund of fees having successfully obtained Singapore citizenship or Singapore Permanent Resident status?

Please request the Registrar's office to update your citizenship by submitting documentary proof. Fees adjustment is depend on the effective date of change.

Q10. When will I receive my fee voucher? Can I pay my fees before receiving the fee voucher?

Students will receive their fee vouchers in the first month of each semester.

Yes, you can settle the fees in advance.

Q11. What is the refund policy for Part-Time Subsidisied Courses?

  1. New students withdrawing from a course before the Academic Year commences, due to medical or other exceptional reasons may be allowed a full refund of fees less administrative charge of $50.
  2. New & Existing students withdrawing from a course within the first week of academic year may be refunded of 75% of tuition fees and 100% of examination, sports & miscellaneous fees.
  3. New & existing students who withdraw from the course after the first week of an academic year are not entitled to any refunds.

Q12. Do I need to submit the GIRO application form on the enrolment day?

Yes, you have to submit both the Debit and Credit Authorisation forms on enrolment day.

Q13. How will I be informed of the results of my GIRO application (Debit Authorisation form)?

You can check the result of your application at the "Fee Payment Status Enquiry" section.

Q14. How do I ensure that the fees have been deducted successfully from the GIRO account?

Please check your bankbook or bank statement after the GIRO deduction date. Alternatively you may enquire through Temasek Polytechnic website at the "Fee Payment Status Enquiry" section.
