What types of Financial Schemes are available?

What kind of fees do the Financial Schemes cover?
|
| |
Post Secondary Education Account (PSEA) can be used to settle both Tuition Fee and Other Fees but CPF Education Scheme, Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy (TTFS) for Malays and Tuition Fee Loan Scheme cover only Tuition Fee. Other Fees must be paid by using your own funds or PSEA.

You will be requested to pay the fees by your own funds (e.g. Interbank GIRO or other modes of payment) if any of your application for Financial Scheme(s) is unsuccessful or yet to be approved when the fees are due for payment.

Can I apply for more than one Financial Scheme?

Yes, you can apply for more than one Financial Schemes if you are eligible. Students are advised to submit the completed application forms with required supporting documents together with your enrolment forms to the Polytechnic.

What types of Financial Schemes are available and when can I apply?

The types of Financial Schemes and their application period are as follows :

Note: (1) You are strongly advised to submit your application for Financial Schemes as early as possible so that your application can be approved in time for settlement of fees (2) If you have been an inactive student for more than 6 months, your approved Financial Schemes may be terminated by Financial Schemes Organisations. You may want to check your Financial Scheme application status at Student Finance Web Enquiry website when you resume your study. If the scheme has been terminated and yet you still wish to use the scheme to pay for your fees, you would be required to re-submit a new Financial Scheme application to the Polytechnic during the Financial Schemes application period.

Who are eligible to apply for Financial Schemes ?

Subsidised students, who are are Eligible and Opt in for TG, are eligible to apply for Financial Schemes.
Full fee paying students, who are not eligible for TG or opt out of TG or taking a full time diploma course that TG is not applicable, are not allowed to aplly for Financial Schemes.

What to note before submitting Financial Scheme(s) application forms / standing order to the Polytechnic?

Please note the following :
| i. | Read carefully the instructions and the terms & conditions on the respective application forms/ standing order. | | ii. | All sections of the application form/standing order must be completed correctly in ink. | | iii. | You are NOT allowed to use correction fluid on the application form. | | iv. | Error should be crossed out neatly. Amendment should be written next to it and signed by the respective applicant. The authority will reject your application form/standing order if any amendment is not properly endorsed. | | v. | Completed application form/ standing order together with copies of relevant supporting documents required by the respective Financial Scheme Organisations (e.g.Yayasan Mendaki) must be submitted together with the enrolment forms to the Polytechnic except supporting documents for online CPF application are to be submitted directly to CPF Board. | | vi. | If you are requested by the Polytechnic to re-submit the form due to incomplete submission, you must re-submit the application form by the stipulated deadline given by the Polytechnic. Else, it will be deemed that you are no longer interested in applying for the Financial Scheme. | | vii. | For application forms properly completed, the Polytechnic will submit them to the Financial Scheme Organisations for processing. | | viii. | Incomplete submission of relevant documents will result in your application being rejected by the Financial Scheme Organisation who manages the Financial Scheme. | | ix | Late re-submission of application form/standing order to the Polytechnic will delay the processing of your application by the Financial Scheme Organisations.

Please note that it is your responsibility to give prompt response to queries raised on your application by the Financial Scheme Organisations. This is to ensure that your application is processed by Financial Scheme Organisation and approved before fee due date.

How will I know the outcome of my application(s) for Financial Scheme(s)?

You should be informed of the outcome of your application(s) for Financial Scheme(s) by the respective Financial Scheme Organisations within one month after you have submitted your application.

Where can I check the status of my Financial Scheme applications?

You can check by logging in with your student email password at our Student Finance Web Enquiry application website. The types of Financial Scheme Application Status available for checking are : i. PSEA ii. CPF iii. TTFS (Mendaki) iv. TFL

What happens if my application result is not confirmed when my fees are due for payment ?

You are required to settle your fees by using your own funds first. The Polytechnic will refund you upon receipt of the fund from the Financial Scheme Organisation if your application is approved after fee due date.

What should I do if my application for a Financial Scheme is unsuccessful?
|
| |
You may want to explore the possibility of using another available Financial Scheme if the scheme is still open for application. Otherwise, you will have to pay the fees at Finance & Administration Department, One Stop Service Centre, Administration Block 9, Level 2, Lift Lobby C by using your own funds. If the fee is not settled by the fee due date, a late fee of $15 may be imposed for late payment.
