As a new student, how do I know what fees are payable and when they are due?

| a. | For students residing in Singapore |
You will receive a tax invoice from the Polytechnic about 2 weeks before the fee due date. If your IBG arrangement with the Polytechnic is approved, the fee amount will be deducted from your authorized bank account on GIRO deduction date.
Else, you have to settle the outstanding fees (net of those paid by approved financial schemes) by using Cash, Cheque or NETS by the fee due date.
| b. | For new International Student NOT residing in Singapore |
- You have to send a bank draft made payable to "Temasek Polytechnic" to be drawn in Singapore together with your enrolment forms.
- You are also required to submit the IBG Application form to Fianance & Administration Department @ One Stop Service Centre, Admin Blk 9, Lift Lobby C, Level 2 by Monday, 31 October 2011 after the commencement of the semester. Your IBG application, if approved, will be used for fee deduction in subsequent semesters.

If I have applied for Financial Schemes, do I still need to pay fees using my own funds?

Approved Financial Schemes, except PSEA scheme, can be utilized to pay for Tuition Fee only. You will be required to pay Other Fees using your own funds if you are billed Tuition Fee and Other Fees in that semester and do not have approved PSEA with sufficient fund balance.

You will also be required to pay using your own funds (eg. Interbank GIRO or other modes of payment) if : a. any of your Financial Scheme application is still pending approval; or b. your Financial Scheme application is unsuccessful; or c. the balance fund in the approved scheme is insufficient to settle the fee.
If your application is approved after fee due date, the Polytechnic will refund the excess payment to you upon receipt of the fund from the Financial Scheme Organisation.

What should I do if I do not receive any tax invoice for student fees ?

Where can I make payment if I do not pay by GIRO and what payment modes can I use ?
|

You can pay using the following payment modes over our Collection counter at Finance & Administration Department @ One Stop Service Centre (OSC) a) Cash b) NETS c) Cash Card d) Cheque - All cheques should be crossed and made payable to "Temasek Polytechnic" and not post-dated.
Location Finance & Administration Department @ One Stop Service Centre Administrative Block 9, Level 2, Lift Lobby C Operating Hours Monday - Friday (from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm)

What should I write as the payee’s name on the cheque?

Please issue the cheque payable to ‘Temasek Polytechnic’. Post–dated cheques are NOT acceptable. Please ensure that :
- the amount payable is correctly stated
- the amount in words tally with the figure
- all alterations must be endorsed by authorised signatories
- the cheque is signed by the authorised signatory or signatories
- the student’s name, admission number and the contact number are to be written on the reverse side of the cheque
You can also send your cheque by post to Finance & Administration Department.

Is there any penalty for payment received after the stipulated due date?

Yes, we will impose a late fee of $15 for late payment.
|

If I have applied for Financial Scheme and it is not approved yet, will I be charged late fee?
|
| |
Yes, if we have not received the funds from Financial Scheme Organisation. To avoid late fee charge, you should settle the outstanding first and we will refund it to you when we receive the funds from the Financial Scheme Organisation.

What should I do if I have financial difficulties in paying my fees?
|
| |
Please call the Student Wellness & Counselling Centre (SWCC) hotline at : 6780 5959 to make an early appointment to see the counsellor for financial advice before the payment due date.

Will I receive official receipt?
|
| |
Receipts are issued for all payments made over the Collection counter, One Stop Service Centre. For cheque payments by post, receipts shall be issued upon request.
No receipts will be issued for GIRO payments.
