Your course is heavily subsidised by a subsidy known as the Tuition Grant (TG) Subsidy by the Singapore Government for students who are eligible and opted for Tuition Grant scheme. For Academic Year 2012/2013, the Government is providing a TG subsidy of S$14,200 (before GST and is subjected to changes).
There are 2 semesters in each Academic Year (AY). The billing periods for AY 2012/2013 are : (a) Semester 1 : from 23 April to 21 October 2012 (b) Semester 2 : from 22 October 2012 to 21 April 2013
Fees are billed and payable by semester. They are usually payable in June for Semester 1 and December for Semester 2.
As you have served National Service and were offered a place previously, the Tuition Fee payable by you will be based on the year of offer but Other Fees are based on current year.
Example Year of offer : AY2009/2010 Semester 1 Enrolled year : AY2012/2013 Semester 1
The Tuition Fee payable by you will be the Tuition Fee rate applicable to AY2009/2010 Semester 1 but the Other Fees will be the Other Fee rate applicable to AY2012/2013 Semester 1.
All Full-Time International Students are required to purchase the GHS Insurance to assist them in paying part of the medical cost if they are hospitalized in Singapore.
Application fee of S$7 is applicable to student who has been offered a course via Direct Admission Exercise (DAE) and Joint Polytechnic Admission Exercise (JPAE). For students enrolled via Joint Admission Exercise (JAE), JAE application of S$7 &/or Amendment fees of S$10 will be collected by the Polytechnic on behalf of Ministry of Education (MOE).
Fees are chargeable based on student's citizenship as at 1st day of the semester concerned as per the student record maintained by the Polytechnic. Please refer to detail steps on change of citizenship procedure stated in the enrolment guide.
