Am I automatically included in the Tuition Grant (TG) scheme?

You are not automatically included in Tuition Grant (TG) scheme.
You are required to apply for the TG by filling up the following form. Only those who are eligible will be granted the TG subsidy. a. Application for Tuition Grant form (applicable to Singapore Citizens only); or b. Tuition Grant Option form (applicable to Singapore Permanent Resident or International Student). For Singapore Permanent Resident and International Students who opt for TG, you are required to execute your TG Agreement with Ministry of Education (MOE) and will be contractually obliged to work in Singapore for 3 years upon graduation. You are eligible for TG subsidy after you have completed the excution of TG Agreement with MOE. Please refer to Section 4 below on execution of TG Agreement with MOE.

Who are eligible to apply for TG subsidy?
|

(a) Eligible for Tuition Grant Students admitted to MOE - subsidised Full-Time diploma courses in the Polytechnic and do not already hold a diploma of the same level or higher qualifications will be eligible to apply for TG.
- Students admitted to MOE-subsidised Full-Time diploma course in the Polytechnic from AY2007 onwards will be granted TG subsidy up to a maximum of 10 semesters.
- The maximum of 10 or 8 semesters will include those semesters in which you have received TG subsidy at other instituitions (**) for diploma course(s) which you have studied from AY2007 onwards even though you did not graduate with a diploma qualification.
** For a list of other institutions, please refer to the list of institutions stated on the Application for Tuition Grant form or Tuition Grant Option form
- Students who are Singapore Citizens and eligible to apply TG will have to submit the Application for Tuition Grant form to be granted for TG subsidy
- Students who are Singapore Permanent Residents or International Students and eligible to apply for TG have to submit Tuition Grant Option form (applicable to SingaporePermanent Resident/International students). In the TG Option form, you are required to indicate your intention to opt for /opt out of TG. Students who decide toopt for TG must complete the execution of TG Agreement with MOE by the stipulated deadline before you are granted for TG subsidy. Please refer to Section 4 below on teh execution of TG Agreement with MOE which requires the student to work in Singapore for 3 years upon completion of their courses.
(b) Not Eligible for Tuition Grant Students who have already held a diploma of the same level or higher qualifications are not eligible for TG.
- Singapore Permanent Resident or International Student who are eligible to apply for TG but chose to opt out of TG in the Tuition Grant Option form (applicable to Singapore Permanent Resident or International Students) will not be granted TG subsidy.
- Students who are offered a place in the Polytechnic as full fee paying students are not eligible for TG.

Where can I get another TG form?

You can either get it from our One - Stop Service Centre, Administration Block 9, Lift Lobby C, Level 2 or download it from our website.

When and how do I execute my TG Agreement with Ministry of Education (MOE) ?

- Download a softcopy of the Tuition Grant Agreement via TGOnline system in PDF file format after 16 Nov 2011 and send it to your sureties either through email or print and send to your sureties for signing in the presence of an overseas Notary Public. The agreement must be printed single-sided on white A4 size paper.
- Ensure that the signed agreement is correctly stamped by the Notary Public and ready for submission to MOE officer by 18 Jan 2012.
