International Students

TP provides the international student with a caring environment, an excellent academic experience, a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art facilities, an opportunity to share diverse ethnic cultural practices, and hands-on experience through projects and the Student Internship Programme.

Our International Students Office coordinates the recruitment of international students and organises immersion and cultural programmes to facilitate your smooth transition to life in Singapore and at TP.

In Mar 2007, TP was named the Best Host for International Students Studying in Singapore at the inaugural Singapore Education Awards organised by the Singapore Tourism Board.

Direct Admission Exercise – Foreign Qualifications (DAE-FQ)

Holders of international qualifications (regardless of nationality) can apply for admission to Temasek Polytechnic under the Direct Admission Exercise (Foreign Qualifications).

Exclusion:

If you are holding the following qualifications issued by the Singapore Ministry of Education,  please refer to the application details under the different admission exercises at http://www.tp.edu.sg/home/admissions.htm :

Who Can Apply?

The minimum requirement for entry into a diploma programme is a College or High School Certificate, equivalent to the Singapore-GCE O Level Certificate.  Applicants who met the minimum entry requirement listed under the Country Requirement are eligible to apply for a course of study at Temasek Polytechnic.

SIJIL PELAJARAN MALAYSIA (SPM)/STPM

  • The minimum entry requirements are the same as that of holders of Singapore-Cambridge GCE O Level Examinations results except for English Language.
  • The minimum requirement for English Language is Grade 6 where the minimum grade for GCE O Level is 7.

For SPM results, pure Science subject (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) is preferred for the relevant subject.

Notes on Submission of Hardcopy Application Form (except for MalaysiaSPM/STPM for April Intakes)

  1. Fill in the duly completed application form (from page 1 to 3).

  2. Attached the following supporting documents listed below.
    • Photocopy of your Passport or Identity Card (if applicable).
    • Photocopy of your educational certificates with detailed results in English translation. (please refer to the table above on Country Requirements).
    • Optional - Applicants applying for Design courses who wish to submit their portfolios may submit them in CD format.

      Please do not send your original documents.  All documents and CD submitted to us are non-returnable.

  3. Submission of duly completed application form and supporting documents:

  4. An inaccurately completed form or an incomplete form will render your entire application invalid.  Applications without supporting documents will not be processed.

  5. Please submit application form strictly during the application period.  Early or late application forms will not be accepted.

  6. Admission is based on merit. Please note that only one application form should be submitted.  Duplicate forms received will void your entire application for the intake.

  7. All applications must be submitted on the hardcopy application form. We do not accept application sent via email attachments or through fax.

  8. Acceptance of an application does not imply any commitment to admit an applicant.

If the application status is 'Under Consideration', it means we are still processing the application. Please continue to check online until the final outcome which is either 'Successful' or 'Unsuccessful'.

All applicants will also be informed of the outcome of their application by email and post latest before the term commences.
