Accommodation & Airport Pickup
Most international students choose to stay near the campus in Tampines, Bedok, Simei or Pasir Ris. This is to minimise the travelling time needed to and fro the campus and home. You may choose to rent a room from a local family. Alternatively, you may want to share an apartment with other students. Students are expected to pay at least one month advance rent and one month deposit.
Where possible, you should make arrangements for your accommodation before you arrive in Singapore. Programmes for International Students
Immersion Programme
The International Students Office organises a special Immersion Programme to introduce freshmen to campus life and the community for a smooth transition in Singapore and Temasek Polytechnic. Some activities include a briefing to freshmen, campus and community orientation, social and cultural programmes, Freshmen Orientation and School Orientation.
Temasek Polytechnic International Students
Temasek Polytechnic International Students (TPIS) is a student interest group under the International Students Office. It provides a platform for social and cross-cultural experiences for international and local students. The student management committee organises regular activities and events to promote cross-cultural awareness and friendship.
There will be occasions for you to share with us your rich cultural background through food, song and dance, fashion and exhibitions featuring your unique culture. You are encouraged to bring along a set of national or ethnic costume for special occasions such as the International Cultural Nite and festive celebrations.
