The six academic schools in TP offer a broad spectrum of 52 full-time diploma courses to suit different interests and aptitudes. Our courses emphasise the development of problem-solving and thinking skills, as well as communication and teamwork abilities. Experienced lecturers with rich industry experience are here to guide you as you strive to achieve your dream through continuous project assignments and final-year projects. In the process, you will broaden your mindset, develop leadership qualities and polish your analytical skills; all to prepare you to conquer the world of work when you graduate.

School of Applied Science

The School of Applied Science aims to nurture a passion for science and research in you and prepare you for a rewarding career in the vibrant food, F&B, chemical and life sciences industries.

The School’s ability-driven curriculum strives to develop competence, character and change-readiness in you to enable you to stay competitive in a rapidly changing global world. This is achieved through various learning approaches such as Problem-based Learning, e-learning, internship, project and research work, as well as non-academic activities like Overseas Community Projects and Student Leadership Programme.

The School has also carved out niche areas in applied research such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, membrane technology, plant biotechnology, proteomics, nanotechnology, analytical services, environment and water technology, baking science and technology, hydroponics and nutrition assessment. These research projects encourage multi-disciplinary technical teams to collaborate and innovate.
