Graduate Employability

TP’s full-time courses offer a broad range of career opportunities for our graduates. We have produced graduates who are now contributing to many traditional and upcoming sectors of the Singapore economy, from manufacturing to info-communications and interactive digital media development. With the TP diploma in hand, our graduates often start off by taking up specialised technical or middle-management positions in companies. Many have gone on to higher positions, while some have even ventured to start their own businesses. See the individual course write-ups for the list of pertinent career opportunities

Employment Rate Remains High

Job prospects are aplenty for TP graduates as our market-relevant courses ensure that our graduates are always in demand by industry. The latest polytechnic graduate employment survey indicated that about 9 in 10 fresh and post-National Service (NS) graduates were currently employed amidst the economic downturn.

The overall employment rate stayed high despite the downward trend over the last three years. The average gross monthly salaries remained competitive at $$1,871 for fresh graduates and $2,183 for post-NS graduates in full-time permanent employment.

The survey findings reaffirmed that the polytechnic graduates, in spite of the impact brought about by the recession, remained in demand to the labour market.

Employment Survey Results

The annual Graduate Employment and Post-NS Employment surveys were jointly conducted by Nanyang, Ngee Ann, Republic, Singapore and Temasek polytechnics.
The surveys were conducted to ascertain the employment status of those who just graduated and post-National Service graduates.
