The Temasek Humanities & Social Sciences School has a poly-wide presence, through the various Cross Disciplinary Subjects (CDS) it offers.
With its mission to create and deliver learning experiences for students to explore beyond their diploma specialisation, the school offers a broad spectrum of CDS to the whole Polytechnic. These subjects range from the languages and cultures (e.g. French, Italian and Japanese), to the creative arts and expressions (e.g. Music and Understanding Art), to the cognitive and social sciences (e.g. Psychology, Sociology), to environmental and global awareness (e.g. Global Citizenship, World Issues).
In its constant effort to always provide the best and most varied education to our students, the school will offer a new course, Diploma in Psychology Studies, in AY 2008/2009. With specialisations in Psychology and Human Capital Management, this diploma is a valued qualification which will open the doors to a wide range of careers for our students.
As a department that is growing, the Temasek Humanities & Social Sciences School is committed to provide innovative and high-quality curricula to respond to the need for a relevant and broad-based education. Future plans involve the development and offering of new humanities and social sciences diplomas.
