Temasek Business School offers eleven courses that prepare students for careers in various areas of contemporary business. The highly practical courses equip students with up-to-date knowledge and lifelong skills relevant to industry needs while cross-disciplinary subjects ensure that they have a holistic education.
As the Preferred Business School, the curricula of all its courses receive continual input from eminent industry experts and academic professionals. The teaching staff has extensive industry experience and their balanced approach towards teaching and learning will help you understand how theoretical knowledge supports practice in the real world. Lectures, tutorials and small group facilitation are complemented by hands-on practice at various specialised laboratories and studios. In addition, all instructional materials are accessible online, allowing students to learn on-the-go, using notebook computers, which tap on TP’s wireless local area network or LAN infrastructure.
The student internship programme further reinforces the application of knowledge and skills that students will acquire in the course. Students will be attached to companies for on-the-job training for a period of 12 weeks to six months, or selected to go overseas for industrial attachments.
The school also provides ample training and learning opportunities for budding entrepreneurs to develop skills in starting and managing new businesses. Besides, students are trained to adapt to changing conditions and anticipate future opportunities while being innovative and resourceful through Problem-based Learning. In the process, they hone their problem-solving, creative thinking, presentation and communication skills, which are all important in the workplace and life.
