Temasek Informatics & IT School develops and conducts diploma courses focusing on the deployment and application of information and communication technology in business, industry and public organisations. It offers six full-time courses that are designed to equip students with relevant knowledge and necessary technical skills expected by employers. The School emphasises the development of thinking, problem-solving and communication skills and aims to develop students into effective team players with professional work attitude. Students will be given many opportunities to develop their abilities to meet the changing demands of the working world.
Students are also encouraged to take part in various enrichment programmes such as industry, national and international competitions, as well as research programmes conducted by universities and research institutions. Under the student internship programme, students will be attached to various businesses and public organisations, as well as research institutes to experience the realities of research and industry demands first hand. The School also actively seeks out overseas internship possibilities in countries such as Australia, China, Finland, India, Japan, Thailand, USA, UK and Denmark to help students develop a global outlook.
To ensure that the curriculum remains relevant to the industry, the School works closely with employers and universities to maintain quality and high academic standards. An advisory committee comprising leading academics from universities as well as professionals from the information and communication technology industry advises the School in its strategic direction and development.
