Adopting a holistic approach, the Nurture U programme aims to nurture and grow startups via one-to-one mentorship and coaching so as to facilitate them to take off in the business world with better chance of success. To value add to the learning perspectives, on a regular basis, we engage professionals to conduct special mentorship and customised workshops for all our prospective startups as well as student and graduate entrepeneurs to hone their entrepreneurial skills. ACE Startups Grant
The ACE Startups Grant is a grant by the Action Community for Entrepreneurship (under SPRING Singapore) to provide funding support for entrepreneurial Singaporeans who are extremely passionate about starting up. It will match $7 for every $3 raised by the startup for up to $50,000. That is, for a $50,000 grant, the startup will have to provide $21,429 for co-matching.
Under this new scheme, there is no age limit which means even if you are in your 40s and planning to start your own venture, this grant is absolutely for you.
If you are TP full-time student or alumnus and have never started any business before, we encourage you to apply through us. Applications supported by the institution will receive "greenlane" benefits. We can offer you advice and guidance on setting up a business

StudioNorm Design Consultants Pte LtdStudioNorm, the brainchild of a young, energetic team of three - David Tham, Eugene Chan and Jeth Koh, is the first TP team to be supported by the YES! Startups. All three founders were trained in product and industrial design and they envision to create their flagship brand - "normform", a line of lifestyle products, furniture pieces, tableware and display ware. Spotting immense potential in the hospitality, tourism and entertainment sectors, these three young gentleman now focus on servicing hotels, F&B setups, pubs and bars. StudioNorm's mainstream services include tailored design consultancy service for hospitality sector and creation of props and installations design for clubs, restaurants, museums and themed establishments. Spot them on Razor TV. | | David Tham | The Sample StoreThe Sample Store, as the name suggests, is an on-line store that not only distributes samples but also sells them as well. As Singapore's first online sampling store, it was founded by Elfaine Tan, a Diploma in Biomedical Informatics & Engineering graduate in 2008. Known initiially as Fr3b.com (freebies), the store was rebranded in 2010. Based on the concept of “try before you buy”, members of The Sample Store can buy and obtain free samples of cosmetic, skin care, tonic products using credit points. To date, it has garnered a substantial pool of members and customers, worked with many established brands and has also distributed and sold countless samples. A go-getter, Elfaine is always in pursuit of fresh business ideas. Her hardwork pays off. In Oct 2009, Elfaine received the Shell LiveWIRE “Most Promising Enterprise Award”, a coveted event jointly organised by Shell, SPH Chinese Division and ITE, from the Minister of State for Trade & Industry, Mr Lee Yi Shyan. She was also named one of 50 Her World Magazine "Most Inspiring Women Under 40" and also featured in a series of media interviews which included the Razor TV. | |

| Webbory Pte LtdFrom small idea to next big thing - that's the story behind Aaron Yap being awarded a $50,000 grant from SPRING Singapore under the Young Entrepreneurs Scheme for Startups. The Diploma in IT graduate started toying with an idea for a website that would improve Internet users' web-browsing experience two years ago while he was serving full-time in National Service. After completing NS, Aaron put that idea in motion, searching for capital to fund the project. With the grant, Aaron will be able to focus on developing his idea into reality. | | Aaron Yap
| Clickpeers Pte LtdFounded by Jocelyn Teo, an Internet Computing graduate, the business focuses on using campaigns to drive viral marketing onlin and via the various social media platforms. It taps on the community to drive the various campaigns. Using the online name, Clickgees, consumers are kept in the loop of the latest campaigns and happenings occurring in the community. It allows businesses to customise their own social media marketing campaigns the way they want it, with apps and widgets for contest games at very affordable rates. Known for its unique Facebook Fans Acquisition and Word of Mouth models - the catalyst of all marketing campaigns, AppsBomb has since inception worked with many established and reputable brands. Kingsley has this to share. "The challenge is not about discovering new technology; it’s about wrapping that technology with the simplest way to use it. When the iPhone first came out, it revolutionised the world. And yet, the average user doesn’t even know of the complexities inside the phone. | Shopforee Pte LtdKnown also as "Shop for Free", Shopforee was founded by Jane Fong, a Diploma in Retail Marketing student, in 2011. It is a new one-stop service provider that combines online and physical means to enable its consumer to shop and source for fashion merchandise for free. This gutsy young man was still a student of the Diploma in Mechatronics when he clinched the $50,000 grant from SPRING Singapore. The grant not only allows him to venture into a business he is very passionate about but also enables him to continue his indulgence in yoyos. Diamont Noir specialises in customising, designing and producing professional yoyos for competition purpose. It also offers other range of yoyos and conduct yoyo workshops and organises yoyo competitions to promote this healthy sport.
