Discounts

The following are entitled to 10% discount off the course fee:

  • Temasek Polytechnic Graduates’ Association (TPGA) members
  • Full-time TP staff
  • Full-time TP student
  • “Friends of TP” (refers to ex-TP staff who have been invited to remain on TP’s contact list)

Applicants are required to submit a photocopy of the following card for verification at the point of application before a discount can be given:

  • Membership card for TPGA members
  • Staff card for full-time TP staff
  • Matriculation card for full-time TP student
  • “Friends of TP” card for “Friends of TP”

Funding

There are various discounts & subsidies available for individuals and organizations to encourage skills upgrading.

Skills Development Fund (SDF)

The Skills Development Fund (SDF) provides financial incentives for training those in the workforce, those preparing to join the workforce, and those re-entering the workforce. Incentives are offered on the basis of a cost-sharing principle and the training must be relevant to the economic development of Singapore. The amount of incentives that a company can obtain is not tied to the levy contribution.

Skills Redevelopment Programme

The Skills Redevelopment Programme (SRP) aims to enhance the employability of the "not-so-young", less-educated or unskilled Singaporean workers, by equipping them with relevant skills to meet the standards required of them in the 21st century.

NTUC Surrogate Employer Programme

The NTUC Surrogate Employer Programme (NTUC-SEP) aims to assist employed union members who do not have employer support to under go selected SRP-approved courses by acting as their surrogate employer and obtaining Skills Development Funding (SDF) to reduce their training cost.

Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ)

The Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) is a new initiative introduced by the Workforce Development Agency (WDA). The objective is to build an integrated and coherent CET system which facilitates flexible adult learning, improves access to skills upgrading and provides clear career progression pathways for the workforce.

National Arts Council

One key function of the National Arts Council is the development of artistic talents and arts organisations in Singapore. The Council provides funding through grants, scholarships and bursaries, gives recognition through arts awards, provides arts housing and discovers new talents through competitions of various art forms.
