General Information
What form of identification is required when sitting for the examinations? You need to bring your Matriculation card and place it at the top right corner of the desk at the beginning of each paper.
Will I be allowed to sit for a paper if I am late? You will NOT be allowed to sit for the paper if you report to the examination venue 30 minutes after the paper has commenced. You are then deemed to be absent for the paper.
What happen if I am absent from the Examination?
Absent due to illness
You must submit a medical certificate by a registered medical practitioner within 48 hours of the last day of the medical leave, or the last day of the exam period, whichever is earlier.
Please ensure that the medical practitioner indicates the following information clearly on the MC:
- That you are "unfit to sit for examination"
- The period which you are unfit to sit for the examination
- The diagnosis
Other form of absenteeism
Any student who is absent for an examination will be deemed to have failed the examination, unless the Board of Examiners is satisfied that there is good and sufficient reason for the student to be absent for the examination.
What if I fall ill during the examination? Please inform the invigilator immediately. You may then be permitted to seek attention from a registered medical practitioner and submit the medical certificate to PDC.
In the event that you fall ill during an examination and nevertheless complete the paper, this fact may be taken into account by the Board of Examiners provided that you are examined by a registered medical practitioner and you have submitted a medical certificate to PDC.
Pleas submit the medical certificate to PDC within 48 hours of the last day of the medical leave, or the last day of the exam period, whichever is earlier.
If you are afflicted by a contagious disease without complications e.g. chicken pox, you will be quarantined and will need to take the exam in a separate venue.
