Course Overview

This subject introduces the fundamental concepts and principles involved in the organisational, political and financial administration of modern international airports. Topics covered include human resources, airport performance, airport commercial management, public relations and, corporate/business planning and airport finance. An overview of the various airport ownership models is also covered.

 

 

Objectives

 

The objectives of this subject are to equip students with knowledge and skills to:

  • Define the roles and functions the various airport administrators or key players play in the international air transportation system.
  • Explain the key components in the management of modern international airports.
  • Manage the operations of modern international airports in the context of airport management.

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.

Upon successful completion of the modular course, students will be issued the Statement of Result which can count towards the attainment of the Diploma in Engineering (Aviation Management).
