Course Overview

This course focuses on the fundamentals of aerodynamics and the principles of flight and control. Topics covered include physics of the atmosphere, aerodynamics, theory of flight, as well as flight stability and dynamics. Students are also provided with a general understanding of the concepts governing high-speed flight.

Objectives

Students should be able to:

  • apply fundamental aerodynamic concepts to understand and solve problems related to aircraft performance and flight safety.
  • describe the principles of high-speed flight and flight controls.
