Course Overview

This subject introduces the fundamentals of Business Continuity planning process which includes managing project in BCM, analysing business risks and impacts, evaluating appropriate strategies, developing BCM plans, testing and exercising the plans and managing the BCM programme. 

 

 

Objectives

 

The objectives of this subject is to equip students with the:

 

1. Knowledge in :

  • increasing organisational survivability and resiliency through Business Continuity Management (BCM) System
  • tools used in risk analysis framework
  • the systematic / logical sequence of actions that leads from one phase to the next phase in the BCM Planning Methodology

 

2. Skills in :

  • identifying potential impacts caused by various threats
  • identifying functions that are critical to business operations and having appropriate alternative Business Continuity strategy options

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.

Certification

 

Upon successful completion of the modular course, students will be issued the Statement of Result which can count towards the attainment of the Diploma in Engineering (Aviation Management).
