Course Overview

This course will help participants to develop skills in writing an effective logline to communicate their ideas to broadcast stations or production houses.

Who Should Attend

Individuals who have just begun writing for media, or new producers, or those who are thinking of stepping into writing and producing and would like to stand out from the others when it comes to getting their ideas front and centre of the attention of potential investors.

Andrew Ngin Chiang Meng

Andrew Ngin Chiang Meng has over ten years of experience writing for film and television. He’s well known for being part of the creative team who did Singapore’s first ever and blockbuster comedy, Under One Roof. Since then, he has created other popular sitcoms and dramas, like Police and Thief and Growing up. He subsequently created Fighting Spiders which won an award in Seoul.

Has over ten years of experience writing for film and television. He’s well known for being part of the creative team who did Singapore’s first ever and blockbuster comedy, Under One Roof. Since then, he has created other popular sitcoms and dramas, like Police and Thief and Growing up. He subsequently created Fighting Spiders which won an award in Seoul.

His most recent work is a TV adaptation of Dick Lee’s Fried Rice Paradise, as well as an upcoming action film titled Circle Line, (Singapore’s first creature feature). He has written concept briefs and pitched to potential investors and labours over the writing of loglines. He’s currently a full time lecturer at Temasek Polytechnic, teaching screenwriting and project pitching to students, at the School of Digital Film and Television.
