Course Overview

We all access the Internet constantly - for work, information, to make financial transactions, and for entertainment. We access it through our computers, mobile phones and other digital devices. It has become part and parcel of our daily lives.  It is not surprising then that hackers are watching our movements online and waiting to steal our data, block our access and even demand money through ransomware.


It is important to have the ability to protect ourselves sufficiently against cyber intrusions and attacks. Acquiring fundamental skills in cybersecurity will enable you to incorporate security elements when accessing the Internet.

Who Should Attend

Individuals who are new to the subject of cyber security and possess minimal relevant IT knowledge. This course is for you if you are keen to learn more about cybersecurity as a complementary skill area to your current job role.

  • Types of controls 

  • Basic concepts of risk assessment and treatment 

  • Common types of risks and applicable controls

 

Certification

 

Participants who meet at least 75% of the required course attendance and attempt the assessment will be awarded the Certificate of Performance.
