Course Overview

This course introduces participants to Climate Risks, Biodiversity Loss and their impact on business, the Comprehensive Risk Assessment Framework and Techniques (CRAFT),  and Mitigation Hierarchy. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)’s risk assessment methodology, and policy measures will also be discussed to help participants better understand the local landscape as well.

Entry Requirements

Participants are advised to have some pre-existing knowledge of sustainability. We recommend that participants attend the Foundations of Sustainability - Opportunities and Risk course prior to attending this course.

Who Should Attend

Business owners, SME senior management, line managers and operators who are engaged in or are likely to be engaged in risk management activities in the course of their business.

What You'll Learn

  • Have a clear sense of how inter-connected Biodiversity and Climate Risks impact business across industry sectors
  • Understand the short and mid-term risks in relation to the impact on business
  • Know how to use the Comprehensive Risk Assessment Framework and Techniques
  • Have a working knowledge of the tools of the MAS’s risk assessment methodology
  • Understand the policy measures surrounding risk management
  • Be able to implement MAS’s policy measures and risk assessment methodology internally

 

 

Certification

 

Participants who meet at least 75% of the required course attendance and attempt the assessment will be awarded the Certificate of Performance.
