Library

TP Library provides a wide range of information resources, services and facilities to support the teaching, learning and research needs of the TP community. Within the ten storey building, you will find:

  • an extensive collection of books, journals and multimedia and audio-visual resources
  • collaboration zones with learning pods, learning hubs and a presentation room
  • quiet zones conducive for studying

Friendly staff can assist with research queries and provide advice on using the resources and services more effectively. Individual assistance can be sought by phone, email, or in person, while the user education programmes offer group training in basic library skills, either in the form of face-to-face workshops or online tutorials. These programmes impart research skills such as how to find journal and newspaper articles, how to search the Web more effectively, and how to evaluate the information found.

Bistro Lab
Overlooking the Bedok Reservoir, the cafeteria and bakery serve both Asian and Western cuisines, featuring weekly set specials, fusion salads and sandwiches, European breads, Asian buns, cakes, pastries, and more.

This outlet is managed by the Centre for Applied Nutrition Services under the School of Applied Science as a training facility for students from the Diploma in Baking and Culinary Science. This unique F&B facility showcases the application of catering technology and science through the exploration of new food concepts and ingredient applications to offer customers a healthful and nutritive dining option.

Canopy Coffee Club Café
The café has 48-seats.

Kick-start your day with a cup of fragrant Gold Killi Kopi. Or try their breakfast sets which include 1 Hot Beverage, Toast / Thick Toast / Appollo Bun / Cream Crackers and Soft-Boiled Eggs. Breakfast sets are priced from $2.80.

For lunch, enjoy their range of Asian Delights with choices such as Nasi Lemak, Mee Rebus, Mee Siam, Mee Soto, Lontong and Laksa. Their meals are priced from $2.80. The Café also has a Salad Counter where you can choose your favourite vegetables and dressing for the day.

In the hot afternoon, quench your thirst with a glass of cooling Lou Han Guo, Barley, Grass-Jelly or Water-Chestnut. Or take a break with local snacks such as Bao, Zhu Chang Fen, Chwee Kueh or Yam Cake.

The Top Table
This contemporary full-service restaurant seats about 60 to 80 persons and serves to train service and culinary students in the finer points of restaurant service and cuisine. The restaurant also has a feature bar, show kitchens where guests can see our student chefs at work, and two private dining rooms called Salt and Pepper.

Temasek Polytechnic adopted the Bedok Reservoir on 24 Aug 2005 as part of “Our Waters” programme launched by the Public Utilities Board.
You may book Bedok Reservoir facilities and services via National Parks Board's Parks Booking System.

Art Facilities

The Temasek Arts Centre houses more than 10 studios for the various Arts Groups to rehearse in. These studios include:
  • Multi-purpose studios (including two with mirrors, one with upright piano and one with baby grand piano)

  • Dance studio

1st Avenue

1st Avenue is store that’s managed by students from TP School of Business’ diploma in Retail Management. It provides them with opportunities to gain practical experience in running and managing a retail shop. Merchandise on sale include clothes, fashion accessories, electronics, snacks and other interesting items, all of which are sourced by the students.

Recently, 1st Avenue has collaborated with the Art Faculty to feature merchandise and artwork made by people with autism.
