School of Applied Science students led by Dr Kalpana Bhaskaran participated in the 2018 Singapore Event in Muscat which coincided with the first day of Hotel Sheraton Oman’s Singapore Food Festival.
The team, together with students from TP’s School of Business, supported the event by adding local flavour - from showcasing our food culture, made-in-Singapore food products, our iconic tourism assets, interacting with the guests and manning a photo-booth.
The other activities included a workshop at the Children’s Public Library to drive home the importance of fruit and vegetables in the daily diet. At Sultan Qaboos University, 54 undergraduate students / staff of the Faculty of Agriculture learnt more about battling Diabetes - the low GI way. The sessions gained the TP team quite a few fans.
This annual event is organised by the Consulate General of Singapore in Muscat, Oman.
