Posting Procedure

  • Applicants are posted to a course based on merit first according to their net ELR2B2 aggregate scores (taking into account the CCA bonus points for which the applicants are eligible for).
  • Applicant with better net aggregate will be considered for admission first, subject to the availability of vacancies in the selected course. If there is no more vacancy, then the applicant will be considered for his/her next choice course.
  • Applicant with the same net aggregate score vying for the last place in a course will be posted based on citizenship followed by their gross aggregate score. The posting of candidates with same gross aggregate score will be determined by a computerised ballot where each candidate is given an equal opportunity.
  • Details on O Level aggregate computation are available here.

Posting Results

The JAE posting results will be released through the following modes on 4 February 2020:

  • JAE-IS, accessible through the MOE - JAE web page
  • Short Messaging Service (SMS) via applicant's mobile number (if a valid Singapore mobile number is provided by applicant during JAE Registration).

JAE Appeal

JAE Appeal will commence after the release of JAE posting from 4 Feb 2020 to 7 Feb 2020.

JAE applicants who wish to appeal for a place in a polytechnic diploma course or seek a transfer to another diploma course can do so via JAE Appeal portal.

Applicants may submit their appeal for courses that they have met the 2020 JAE aggregate range and the minimum entry requirements.

Successful JAE Appeal will supersede the JAE original posted course.

The outcome of the JAE Appeal will be released through JAE Appeal portal on 20 Feb 2020.
